Owner of Xhale Healing and Wellness LLC. Raised as a military child, her diverse upbringing profoundly influenced her perspective on the world, sparking a passion for wanting to learn more and bridge gaps.
Going on to attend Howard University for a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. The University of Maryland University College for a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Diversity Awareness. And finally, The Chicago School of Professional Psychology for M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. With a focus on Trauma and how Adverse Childhood Experiences impact those in marginalized communities. Ashley noticed not only the negative stigma surrounding mental health but also the gap in resources and support and wanting to work to meet the need.
Ashley is a compassionate counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) dedicated to providing a holistic approach to healing and wellness, particularly within the BIPOC community. With experience working in schools, juvenile detention centers, and outpatient mental health clinics, Ashley has developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals in marginalized communities.
As a counselor, Ashley blends traditional therapeutic techniques with culturally responsive practices to address trauma, overall mental health, and wellness in a way that honors the individual's cultural identity and experiences. By integrating mindfulness, body-based therapies, and a strength-based perspective, Ashley aims to empower clients to achieve healing and self-empowerment.
Whether working with individuals, families, groups or the communities, Ashley is committed to creating a safe and supportive space where healing is not only possible but transformative. With a strong commitment to social justice and community well-being, Ashley is passionate about addressing systemic inequities and supporting the mental health needs of BIPOC populations.
